About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Care Assistant to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to patients across various wards and departments.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse
  • Ensure that patients are at the forefront when making decisions about their care and well-being
  • Provide compassionate support when undertaking daily activities, ensuring privacy, dignity, and human rights are respected

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £15,000 - £20,500 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience as a Community HCSW UK (Private, NHS, or Armed Forces) hospital/hospice worker within the last 2 years
  • Alternatively, currently studying General/Adult Nursing (Student Nurse) and completed a minimum of 12 weeks clinical placements
