Special Needs Assistant Role

Our Primary SEN School in Waterlooville is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Assistant to join our team.

About the Position

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and empathetic individual to work as a Special Needs Assistant, providing essential support to students with special educational needs in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

The successful candidate will work full-time, term-time supply contracts, assisting teachers in delivering tailored education plans and supporting students with daily living tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting students with special educational needs in a Primary SEN School setting.
  • Working effectively with teachers to deliver tailored education plans and promoting positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Providing assistance with daily living tasks, such as personal care and mobility, in a respectful and compassionate manner.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team, prioritizing student needs and contributing to a positive school culture.

Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
