Job Description for Teaching Assistant for SEN Students

GSL Education - Southampton is seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in our client school in Hook. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, building self-esteem, and ensuring that each child feels supported and included.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with teachers to develop and implement tailored learning plans that meet the specific needs of students with SEN.
  2. Provide emotional support and encouragement to students, helping them to develop confidence and social skills.
  3. Assist with personal care and mobility support, where necessary, to ensure students are comfortable and safe.
  4. Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for each child.
