Job Title: Freelance Interpreter Translator

About the Role:

We are recruiting freelance interpreters to work with us in various settings. As an interpreter, you will be responsible for listening to and understanding content in one language and reproducing it in another with 100% accuracy. You will also be required to check the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence and liaise between the service user and service provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services
  • Check the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence
  • Liaise between the service user and service provider

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
