School Catering Assistant Role
We are seeking a committed individual to join our catering team at Worsthorne Primary School in Burnley. As a School Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, healthy meals for school children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the dining area for service, including setting up and cleaning equipment.
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food and beverages.
- Clean all equipment and catering areas.
Requirements:
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
- Good customer care skills.
- Previous catering and food preparation experience is essential.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 12.15 pm to 1.30 pm (approx).
- Term time only.
- 6.25 hours per week, although hours are variable depending on school meal uptake.
