Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in North Devon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality specialist mental health assessments and treatment to young people referred to our service.
About the RoleThis is a 10PA community post based in North Devon, where you will contribute to leading on the establishment of multi-disciplinary assessment clinics. You will work closely with our team to provide expert care and support to young people and their families.
Main Responsibilities- Provide high-quality specialist mental health assessments and treatment to young people referred to our service.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health pathways and services for children and adolescents.
- Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide expert care and support to young people and their families.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local healthcare providers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who possesses the following qualities:
- Full Registration with the General Medical Council.
- Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview.
- Approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- Evidence of sub-speciality or other specific training, e.g. systemic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy.
- CCT Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- A team player able to inspire and support staff at all levels of training and across professional disciplines.
