The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Adult Care Worker Apprentice to join our Plymouth Supported Living/Ivybridge team. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of individuals, developing your skills and knowledge in providing high-quality care.

Main Responsibilities
  • To participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
  • To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and others while respecting appropriate confidentiality.
  • To support service users with meal preparation, laundry duties, cleaning, and social events.
  • To maintain accurate notes and records as required.
  • To work collaboratively as part of a team to provide high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience in supporting adults with complex needs.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Confidence to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for working with vulnerable adults.
  • Commitment to achieving high standards of safeguarding.
