Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a friendly secondary school in Rowlands Castle. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, as well as those with Autism, ADHD, Attachment Disorders, Anxiety, and Speech and Language delay.

Job Role:
  • Work under the guidance of a teacher to support small groups of pupils with learning tasks.
  • Support children's emotional wellbeing and communication skills.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing environment for children to build safe relationships in.
  • Safeguarding will be your number one priority, ensuring the welfare of the pupils.
  • Work with pupils across KS 2-4.
Job Specification:
  • Full-time position, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Mon – Fri)
  • Competitive hourly rate: £12.82 - £14.72
  • Temporary to permanent contract
  • Location: Rowlands Castle
Requirements:
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • DBS registered to the update service or willing to apply with GSL Education
