About the Role:
As a Gateline Assistant at South Western Railway, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ticket gates and providing an exceptional customer experience.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the flow of customers through ticket gates during busy times, ensuring a safe and efficient experience.
- Provide assistance to customers with ticketing queries, offering help and advice to ensure their journey stays on track.
- Work collaboratively with the station team to deliver a welcoming and safe environment for all customers.
- Be the first point of contact for customers, offering a personal and professional service to meet their needs.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe station environment, adhering to quality and safety standards.
About You:
We are looking for an organised and efficient individual who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service. You will be a great communicator, able to talk to anyone and provide a helping hand when needed. Your flexibility and ability to work under pressure will be essential in this role.
Working Pattern:
As our customers need us all day, every day, you will need to be able to work shifts at all times of the day and on every day of the week. On average, you will work 37 hours across 4.5 days per week, including early, late, and weekend shifts.
