About the Role:

We offer a competitive salary of £38,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food purchase, storage, preparation, cooking, and serving, while ensuring a safe environment by assessing and managing risk. This includes promoting high standards, complying with relevant legislation, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan menus in consultation with the manager and service users
  • Liaise with suppliers for best value and ensure correct stock logging
  • Regularly conduct stock checks to ensure rotation, correct storage, and removal of out-of-date items
  • Organize and oversee Service User activities within the kitchen

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience in culinary services, strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of food safety and quality control principles.
