Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead our new build project in Herne Bay, Kent.
This is a permanent position with an immediate start, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sub-contractors, conducting toolbox talks and inductions, chairing site meetings, overseeing direct labour force and managing work programs.
You will report directly to our Joint Managing Directors and be expected to provide excellent recent work references, SMSTS certification, Management CSCS card and experience in new build residential apartment developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the construction project, ensuring timely completion and high-quality finishes.
- Lead and motivate a team of sub-contractors, direct labour force and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Conduct regular site meetings, toolbox talks and inductions to ensure all parties are aware of project expectations and risks.
- Develop and implement effective work programs, including resource allocation, scheduling and budget management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including finance, marketing and sales, to deliver project objectives.
Required Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- SMSTS certification and Management CSCS card.
- Proven experience in new build residential apartment developments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex projects.
- A minimum of [£60,000-£80,000] per annum, depending on experience.
