About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Chartwells - Schools. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating exceptional food experiences for our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve high-quality food that meets the needs of our clients and customers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve our food service and implement changes to enhance the customer experience.
  • Support and train our teams to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Deliver our tasty food concepts to our customers and ensure that they are consistently of high quality.
  • Manage food ordering, stock control, and food waste to ensure that our operations are efficient and cost-effective.
  • Oversee the efficiency of all catering operations, including managing inventories and implementing action plans to improve performance.
  • Manage budgets and successfully meet financial targets to ensure the success of our operations.
  • Implement and review Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance across all catering and service teams.
Requirements
  • Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
  • Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service.
  • Have experience managing teams in a similar role.
  • Be a brilliant communicator and easily build relationships.
  • Strive for excellence in an enthusiastic and motivated manner.
  • Be an ambitious and motivated individual who is always looking to upskill.
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability.
  • Have a safety-first mindset.
