About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Catering Manager to oversee our catering and service operations for Chartwells. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly and delivering exceptional food experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve high-quality food to meet the needs of our customers
  • Supervise and train culinary and service teams to maintain impeccable food and customer service standards
  • Oversee the efficiency of all in-unit catering operations, including inventory management and budget monitoring
  • Communicate regularly with line managers to monitor key performance indicators and targets
  • Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image
  • Identify opportunities for new food or service concepts to drive sales and growth
  • Liaise between customers and our culinary and service teams to ensure exceptional customer service
  • Support and train teams to ensure everyone can excel in their role
  • Implement and review Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance across all catering and service teams
Requirements
  • Passion for great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
  • Minimum of two years of catering experience
  • Experience managing teams in a similar role
  • NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate
  • Excellent financial acumen and communication skills
  • Ambitious and motivated individual with a desire to upskill
