The Role

We are seeking an experienced Asset Grading Officer to join our team at Sovereign Housing Association. As an Asset Grading Officer, you will play a crucial role in reviewing asset grading scores, working closely with the Head of Programme to develop a future pathway for our homes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with identifying future redevelopment opportunities by location and supporting Regeneration and New Business in attaining approval for initial feasibility studies.
  • Using the asset grading model to work through local authorities in the South and West of our geography on a property-by-property basis.
  • Working collaboratively across localities to understand challenges faced by property, Customer, and Lettings, and using this to assist the Head of Programme in developing a bespoke strategy for each operating area.
  • Assisting the Head of Programme in identifying a pipeline of poor-performing schemes for the Head of Disposal to appraise.
  • Supporting the Head of Programme in the annual refresh of asset grading to illustrate the effectiveness of combined strategies, including development of new homes, disposal, and improvement of existing homes.
  • Taking responsibility for flagging homes for disposal to support the Business Plan.

What we're looking for:

You'll have proven experience in a similar role in Asset Management or Property Management, with a good understanding of property lifecycle and obsolescence. Must be experienced in working effectively within cross-functional teams. You'll also have:

  • Strong communication skills and report writing experience.
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to analyse large and small data sets to draw conclusions and identify trends.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI, and operating systems such as Keystone/ActiveH or similar housing management systems.
