The Role

We are seeking an experienced Asset Grading Officer to join our team at Sovereign Housing Association. As an Asset Grading Officer, you will play a crucial role in reviewing asset grading scores, working closely with the Head of Programme to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies for our housing stock.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the identification of future redevelopment and regeneration opportunities by location and supporting the Regeneration and New Business team in attaining approval for initial feasibility studies.
  • Using the asset grading model to work with local authorities in the South and West of our geography on a property-by-property basis.
  • Working collaboratively across our localities to understand the challenges faced by our properties, customers, and lettings teams, and using this information to assist the Head of Programme in developing a bespoke strategy for each operating area.
  • Assisting the Head of Programme in identifying a pipeline of poor-performing schemes for the Head of Disposal to appraise.
  • Supporting the Head of Programme in the annual refresh of asset grading to illustrate the effectiveness of our combined strategies, including development of new homes, disposal, and improvement of existing homes.
  • Taking responsibility for flagging homes for disposal to support our Business Plan.

What we're looking for:

You'll have proven experience in a similar role in Asset Management or Property Management, with a good understanding of property lifecycle and obsolescence. You'll also have strong communication skills, analytical skills with attention to detail, and the ability to analyse large and small data sets to draw conclusions and identify trends.
