Job Title: Senior Compliance and Legal Operations Manager

British American Tobacco UK is seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance and Legal Operations Manager to join our Western Europe Legal Leadership Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the Compliance agenda and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of Legal Operations in Western Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic counselling on Compliance matters and ensure the implementation of vital controls to ensure compliance with legal and internal regulations.
  • Manage legal team resources by designing and implementing processes and effective use of technology and human resource.
  • Ensure the effective and efficient management of Compliance activities across Western Europe, including the roll out of global and regional initiatives.
  • Develop and implement internal process guidelines, templates and workflows to manage risk and optimize the use of legal resource.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years' experience in an in-house legal and/or compliance department or relevant operational management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards, such as money laundering, antitrust law, data protection, sanctions etc.
  • Experience in developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Strong partner management skills, and ability to plan, anticipate and run priorities to optimize output and enhance the effectiveness of commercial solutions.
