About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Research Officer to join our team at the University of Manchester. As a key member of our fundraising operation, you will play a vital role in identifying and analyzing potential donors, deploying and refining systems to support the documentation and management of such potential donors, and suggesting tailored strategies to reach and engage such donors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on high net worth individuals, corporations, and charitable foundations worldwide to identify potential donors for the University's transformational philanthropy fundraisers.
  • Provide research and insight for fundraisers and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in the core area of our 200th anniversary campaign.
  • Work with colleagues to develop and implement effective workload management systems for the Research Team.
  • Manage three development research staff and work closely with major gift fundraisers to help raise vital funds towards our appeals.
  • Conduct gift acceptance due diligence and develop tailored strategies to engage potential donors.
