About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Research Officer to join our team at the University of Manchester. As a key member of our fundraising operation, you will play a vital role in identifying and analyzing potential donors, deploying and refining systems to support the documentation and management of such potential donors, and suggesting tailored strategies to reach and engage such donors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on high net worth individuals, corporations, and charitable foundations worldwide to identify potential donors for the University's fundraising operation.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, fundraisers, and the Senior Leadership Team to provide research and insight to support fundraising efforts.
  • Manage the University's programme of identification and analysis of potential donors, deploying and refining systems to support the documentation and management of such potential donors.
  • Develop tailored strategies to reach and engage potential donors, including gift acceptance due diligence.
  • Manage a team of development research staff and work closely with major gift fundraisers to help raise vital funds towards our appeals.
