School Catering Manager Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Catering Manager who is passionate about delivering exceptional food and world-class customer service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all catering and service operations on a part-time basis, contracted to 30 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of catering experience, with a proven track record of managing teams in a similar role. They will also hold relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2, as well as a Basic Food Hygiene certificate. Strong financial acumen, excellent communication and organisational skills are essential for this role.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes opportunities for career progression, recognition and rewards, and a supportive working environment that values individuality and diversity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly, preparing delicious food to the highest standards, supervising culinary and catering teams, and communicating regularly with their line manager to monitor KPIs and targets. They will also represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image, identify opportunities for new food or service concepts, and liaise between customers and our culinary and service teams to ensure we continue to exceed expectations.
