Psychological Care Specialist

Job Purpose:
To work within the psychological department and support and enhance the professional psychological care and assessment of service users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake protocol-based psychological assessments of service users, applying psychological tests and gathering information from service users and their care teams.
- Assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans, working with service users to address their mental health and wellbeing needs.
- Co-facilitate therapeutic groups and support the planning, delivery, and review of one-to-one sessions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, presenting and sharing relevant information with colleagues.
- Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings, supporting the development of care plans and service user outcomes.
- Support data collection and analysis, contributing to research and service evaluation.
- Support the training and development of other staff members.
Requirements:
- Applicants will be expected to apply their knowledge of psychology in their work, under the supervision of an experienced and HCPC-registered practitioner psychologist.
- Assistant Psychologists will work under the management and supervision of an experienced and HCPC-registered practitioner psychologist.
