Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Residential Childcare Trainer to join our team at S Knights Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for empowering learners to reach their full potential in the residential childcare sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to learners in the residential childcare sector.
  • Conduct assessments and provide tailored support and guidance to ensure learner success.
  • Develop crucial skills in learners, focusing on Mathematics and English proficiency.
  • Nurture a caseload of 40 learners, ensuring they achieve success at their End-Point Assessment (EPA).
  • Plan and implement teaching and learning activities with a robust assessment process.
  • Regularly review progress, adapting coaching strategies to meet learner needs.
  • Provide valuable information, advice, and guidance to support holistic development.
  • Efficiently manage E-Portfolios for all learners.
Requirements
  • Desired: Teaching qualification such as PTLLS, AET, Cert Ed, or equivalent.
  • We are willing to take on trainees with strong occupational experience.
  • Essential: Occupational competence in a residential childcare setting.
  • Desired: Assessor's qualification such as CAVA, TAQA, A1, or equivalent.
  • Essential: Qualification in Residential Childcare up to Level 5.
  • Required: Willingness to undertake relevant training or qualifications to stay at the forefront of the field.
  • Driver's License: UK driver's license with access to own vehicle.
