We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team at children's residential care homes in Birmingham and Rugeley. As a Residential Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing support to children and young people aged 8-18 with various requirements, including Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

**Key Responsibilities**:
Establishing positive relationships with the children and young people in our care, promoting their well-being and development.

Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment within the residential home.

Assisting with the implementation of care plans and individualized support strategies.

Supporting children and young people in their daily activities, including personal care, education, and social interactions.

Encouraging and facilitating the development of life skills and independence.

Working collaboratively with other staff members, external agencies, and families to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children and young people.

**Requirements**:
A minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and young people in a residential setting within the last 5 years.

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification.

Strong understanding of the challenges faced by children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage challenging behaviour.

A compassionate and patient approach to working with children and young people.

Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.

We offer a permanent position with an immediate start date. The salary for this role ranges from £23,160 to £27,072 per annum, depending on experience (based on 6 S/I per month). Additionally, you will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your professional growth.
