Relief Security Officer

We are seeking a skilled Relief Security Officer to join our team at Securitas Security Services. As a Relief Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment and ensuring the safety of our clients and employees.
This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility and adaptability. You will be responsible for conducting internal and external patrols, controlling access to site, and maintaining the security and integrity of the perimeter and site buildings.
As a Relief Security Officer, you will also be responsible for:
- Controlling access to site at several different control points, vehicle barriers, and reception stations.
- Maintaining the security and integrity of the perimeter and site buildings by means of physical and vehicle patrols.
- Ensuring the requirements of visitors to site are being adhered to by access control measures and identification checks.
- Carrying out musters, evacuations, and other roles as required in the event of an emergency.
- Searching of vehicles to ensure high levels of security are maintained and meets client requirements.
- Performing locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions (AIs).
- Ensuring all recording of incidents, reports, and paperwork is completed in a legible fashion.
- Providing a visible and proactive security presence for all on-site employees and visitors.
- Registering contractors, issuing temporary badges, booking in/out cars, and directing visitors.
- Controlling access and egress, conducting security patrols to deter crime.
- Managing traffic, including vehicle access, directing flow, signing in, and directing visitors.
- Helping to maintain the security of the site by conducting internal patrols and car searches.
- Operating the control room/gatehouse and reception systems.
- Valid SIA licence (desirable)
- Resident in the UK for at least 5 years (for BPSS/SC purposes)
- Full UK driving licence
- First Aid at Work
- Right to work in the UK with a 5-year education or employment checkable history
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented at all times.
- Customer-focused, polite, tactful, and discrete.
- Health and Safety at Work (desirable)
- Customer Service Training (desirable)
- CCTV SIA (desirable)
