This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a dynamic schedule and the opportunity to be a part of our safety strategy. You will enjoy flexibility and guaranteed hours, making it an ideal career path for those who value work-life balance.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Conduct internal and external patrols to ensure the security and integrity of the site.
- Control access to the site at various control points, including vehicle barriers and reception stations.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the perimeter and site buildings through physical and vehicle patrols.
- Ensure the requirements of visitors to the site are met through access control measures and identification checks.
- Carry out musters, evacuations, and other roles as required in the event of an emergency.
- Search vehicles to ensure high levels of security are maintained and meet client requirements.
- Perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions (AIs).
- Ensure all recording of incidents, reports, and paperwork is completed in a legible fashion.
- Provide a visible and proactive security presence for all on-site employees and visitors.
- Register contractors, issue temporary badges, book in/out cars, and direct visitors.
- Control access and egress, conducting security patrols to deter crime.
- Manage traffic, including vehicle access, directing flow, signing in, and directing visitors.
- Help maintain the security of the site by conducting internal patrols and car searches.
- Operate the control room/gatehouse and reception systems.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Valid SIA license (desirable)
- Resident in the UK for at least 5 years (for BPSS/SC purposes)
- Full UK driving license
- First Aid at Work
- Right to work in the UK with a 5-year education or employment checkable history
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented at all times
- Customer-focused, polite, tactful, and discrete
- Health and Safety at Work (desirable)
- Customer Service Training (desirable)
- CCTV SIA (desirable)
