About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Relief Security Officer to join our team at Securitas Security Services. As a Relief Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment and ensuring the safety of our clients and employees.

This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a dynamic schedule and the opportunity to be a part of our safety strategy. You will enjoy flexibility and guaranteed hours, making it an ideal career path for those who value work-life balance.

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Working as part of the site security team to maintain a secure environment
  • Conducting internal and external patrols, as well as other security duties by day and night, in various weather conditions
  • Controlling access to the site at multiple control points, vehicle barriers, and reception stations
  • Maintaining the security and integrity of the perimeter and site buildings through physical and vehicle patrols
  • Ensuring visitor requirements are met through access control measures and identification checks
  • Participating in musters, evacuations, and other emergency roles as required
  • Searching vehicles to maintain high security levels and meet client requirements
  • Performing locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
  • Completing incident reports, paperwork, and other tasks in a legible fashion
  • Providing a visible and proactive security presence for employees and visitors
  • Registering contractors, issuing temporary badges, booking in/out cars, and directing visitors
  • Controlling access and egress, conducting security patrols to deter crime
  • Managing traffic, including vehicle access, directing flow, signing in, and directing visitors
  • Assisting in maintaining site security through internal patrols and car searches
  • Operating the control room/gatehouse and reception systems

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Valid SIA license (desirable)
  • Residency in the UK for at least 5 years (for BPSS/SC purposes)
  • Full UK driving license
  • First Aid at Work
  • Right to work in the UK with a 5-year education or employment checkable history
  • Reliable, punctual, and well-presented at all times
  • Customer-focused, polite, tactful, and discreet
  • Health and Safety at Work (desirable)
  • Customer Service Training (desirable)
  • CCTV SIA (desirable)
