Job Summary

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Theatres Nurse to work in a dynamic environment, providing safe and effective care to patients across various specialties, including scrub, anaesthetics, and recovery. You will have the flexibility to book shifts in advance, allowing you to plan ahead and control your schedule.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and coordinated patient care. Additionally, they will be able to monitor patients' conditions during surgery and in the recovery phase, providing critical care support as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality perioperative care in line with evidence-based practice and hospital protocols.
  • Assist in preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary equipment is available and in working order.
  • Support the surgical team as a scrub nurse, circulating nurse, or anaesthetic nurse, depending on rotation and patient needs.
  • Monitor patients' conditions during surgery and in the recovery phase, providing critical care support as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and coordinated patient care.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current NMC registration.
  • A passion for perioperative care and a commitment to delivering high standards of nursing.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a clinical setting
  • To meet our framework compliance requirements including DBS, Occupational Health, Clinical References and Updated CV
  • Right to work within the UK - Proof will be required.
