At Barts Health NHS Trust, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse to join our team as a Specialist in Special Needs Education. This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Children's Nurse to take on a leadership role in the education sector.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be working primarily at Stephen Hawking Special Needs School, providing clinical leadership and supervision to nursing teams within the educational setting. They will also be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the healthcare needs of children with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing teams in educational settings
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the healthcare needs of children with special needs
  • Supervise and educate junior members of the nursing team, teaching assistants, carers, and family members
Requirements
  • RSCN / RN Child registration with current registration
  • Preparation for mentorship course or equivalent
  • Post-registration experience as a Band 5 Nurse
  • Previous experience of working with children with complex needs
