About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Maidstone. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students in a Year 4 and 5 class, providing one-on-one support and collaborating closely with the Senior Leadership Team and SENDCo.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to a student with autism, helping them navigate their educational journey and achieve developmental goals.
  • Support a small group of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, promoting resilience, confidence, and academic progress.
  • Work collaboratively with the SLT and SENDCo to ensure comprehensive support and guidance throughout the role.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or SEMH needs, is beneficial but not required.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting children in overcoming challenges and succeeding in their learning journey.
  • Flexibility to work both in the classroom and outdoors, as required by the role.
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced Child-Only DBS check.
