About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Public Health Dietetics Professional to join our team at Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust. As a key member of our community dietetic service, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dietetic services to patients in various clinical settings.

Your main duties will include conducting outpatient clinics, performing home visits, and providing group education for patients and staff. You will also work closely with the acute dietetic team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, offering opportunities for shadowing and learning from specialist colleagues.

As a Public Health Dietetics Professional, you will have the ability to contribute to service development projects, research, and audit. Additionally, you will have opportunities to engage in home working and virtual/telephone consultations.

The department is involved in the training of student dietitians and assistant practitioners, and you will play an essential role in this once you have completed appropriate training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality dietetic services to patients in various clinical settings
  • Conduct outpatient clinics, perform home visits, and provide group education for patients and staff
  • Work closely with the acute dietetic team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital
  • Participate in service development projects, research, and audit
Person SpecificationQualifications
  • BSc Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent qualification
  • Current HCPC registration in Dietetics (or pending)
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
  • Good clinical knowledge in general Dietetics
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to reflect and appraise own performance
