Leadership Psychiatrist in Early Psychosis Service

We offer a unique opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Early Intervention in Psychosis service. This exciting role involves developing a new service for individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis, leveraging a significant evidence base that supports interventions promoting recovery. You will be involved in assessing and managing early psychosis presentations, with comorbid conditions such as substance misuse and mood/anxiety disorders requiring careful diagnosis and treatment.
**Job Description**: We seek an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to fill this vital role, which includes administrative duties associated with patient care, recording clinical activity accurately, and participating in service and business planning activities. The post holder must ensure the maintenance of relevant professional registration, including Section 12, Approved Clinician, and Responsible Clinician status.
**Essential Skills and Qualifications**:
- Must have completed CCT within six months of interview date
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within 3 months
**Desirable Skills and Qualifications**:
- Additional clinical qualifications
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management
