We create content across multiple platforms, including podcasts, video content, and our website, all from our state-of-the-art London office. As a Managing Editor at Digital Frontier, you'll be steering our editorial direction and overseeing our team's day-to-day content delivery.

Your Role

You'll lead a talented team consisting of editors, reporters, sub editors, and freelancers, ensuring the creation and distribution of high-quality content in digital technology. Your focus will be on championing exclusive pieces, engaging our community through social media and newsletters, and delivering original, informative, and entertaining content on the future of digital technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with our business objectives and keeps our audience engaged.
  • Oversee the production of high-quality, original content across all our platforms.
  • Work closely with our publishing manager to ensure smooth team reporting and deliver a dynamic digital experience for our readers.
  • Collaborate with our events team to curate an event calendar that drives industry conversations.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Significant editorial experience in technology journalism or a related field.
  • A proven track record of managing and developing editorial teams.
  • Digital publishing best practices and content analytics expertise.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English skills, demonstrating excellence in writing, narration, and presentation.
  • Natural mentoring skills, helping others become extraordinary writers, presenters, and managers.
  • Ability to translate business goals into aligned editorial strategies and informed content distribution decisions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools, project management tools, and publishing tools.
  • A personable and professional manner, building strong relationships within the team and with external partners.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
