Job Overview:

The Wall Street Journal's and Barron's Group's branded content studio, The Trust, is seeking a highly experienced Creative Producer to lead the development of innovative, 360-degree programs for international clients. Reporting into the Executive Director of International Content, this role will be based in our London office and require regular travel.

About the Role:

This dynamic position demands a seasoned professional with at least 10 years of experience in branded content or newsroom roles, coupled with expertise in video production & editing, motion graphics, and interactive design. A strong portfolio showcasing visual, storytelling, and creative campaign work is essential, as well as existing relationships with casting agencies and experience negotiating talent deals.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating creative concepts, conducting desk research, creating storyboards and moodboards, leading video and audio creative from pre-sale into production, and driving conversations with casting agencies to secure talent deals when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop comprehensive, design-forward narratives and solid editorial approaches for RFPs across various sectors.
  2. Conduct thorough desk research for every new International RFP, analyzing white papers, industry trends, RFP details, relevant brands, and WSJ's audience and content.
  3. Create engaging storyboards and moodboards to guide development of original and creative branded content experiences.
  4. Lead video and audio creative from pre-sale into production, ensuring high-quality execution.
  5. Prioritize unique and differentiated content experiences by strategizing ways to bring story concepts to life.
  6. Negotiate talent deals with casting agencies, considering the nuances of talent use in custom content.
  7. Draft detailed mock requests outlining vision, working closely with designers to bring mocks to life.
  8. In post-sale, collaborate with designers, video producers, and development teams to ensure creative elements are executed as sold.
  9. Maintain open communication with Sales and Integrated Marketing to navigate complex client structures.
  10. Collaborate with IM and Editorial to brainstorm and sanity-check story concepts and creative executions.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in a branded content or newsroom role.
  • Knowledge of the creative development process and experience with video production & editing, motion graphics, and interactive design.
  • Strong existing relationships with casting agencies and experience negotiating talent deals.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing visual, storytelling, and creative campaign work.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of different CMS platforms a plus.
