We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a long-term basis in a North Birmingham school. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting children with Autism on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Teaching & Learning and extensive experience working with children with Autism. They will be able to communicate effectively with children, build rapport, and motivate them to learn.
- Supporting children with Autism in a one-to-one setting, helping them to access the curriculum and overcome challenges.
- Encouraging and motivating children to learn, develop social skills, and interact with their peers.
- Helping teachers to bridge the gap in curriculum access for children with Autism, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Level 3 qualification in Teaching & Learning (ideal).
- Long-term experience working with children on a one-to-one basis, particularly those with Autism.
- SEN experience covering Autism, including knowledge of strategies and interventions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, build rapport, and motivate them to learn.
