Polaris Community is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Youth Care Manager to lead our team in Nottingham.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £44,041.10 per annum, plus benefits such as a £2,000 bonus for an outstanding Ofsted report, full occupancy bonus of £300 per month, and on-call payments of £25 weekday and £35 weekend.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our 4-bed home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care that promotes the rights of young people as individuals. This involves leading a team of care workers, adhering to relevant legislation and guidelines, and maintaining accurate records of young people and employees. Additionally, the candidate will be required to develop and promote new techniques and approaches to childcare provision, participate in management forums, and contribute to the development of work practices, policies, and procedures.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures, experience of managing a team, and familiarity with the needs of vulnerable individuals. They should also demonstrate high standards of safe working practice, ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships, and emotional resilience when dealing with challenging behaviour.
