Housing Support Coordinator

Job Overview:
Riverside is a leading housing association dedicated to enhancing the everyday lives of our customers. We are seeking an experienced Housing Support Coordinator to join our team in North Yorkshire.
About the Role:
This exciting opportunity involves providing high-quality support services to vulnerable individuals, ensuring their safety and well-being within our supported housing services. As a Housing Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering a range of support activities, including assisting with day-to-day tasks, maintaining accurate records, and promoting customer independence.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of referral processes for new customers
- Contribute to the delivery of a housing management service, including income collection and providing customers with tenancy-related support
- Work with customers to maintain a safe environment, reporting any repairs or health and safety concerns
- Clean and prepare customer rooms as necessary
- Resolve difficult and challenging situations in a sensitive and informed manner, balancing individual needs with service safety
- Ensure customer safety by following local safeguarding procedures, recognizing and acting on potential risks, and escalating appropriately
- Maintain and update financial administration systems, including rent accounts, invoices, petty cash, and banking
- Assist in collating and submitting information returns on funding, health and safety, and performance
- Act as a point of contact on the phone, reception, and deal with a range of enquiries
Requirements:
- Experience of working with vulnerable client groups
- Experience of delivering structured support in housing or social care
- Demonstrated IT skills, including basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and willingness to learn specific IT systems used within Care and Support
