Senior Critical Care Nurse Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic team in the ITU department at The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle. As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and driving excellence in patient care while working collaboratively with the nursing team to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
About the Role:
As a Critical Care Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the hospital ward and its staff, ensuring effective and efficient management of ward resources and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining and enhancing customer service and satisfaction, as well as leading and supporting the nursing team to meet all aspects of the clinical governance agenda. You will conduct yourself professionally within the framework provided by the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
Requirements:
You must hold a valid RN registration with the NMC, have evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically and managerially, and possess up-to-date knowledge in your area of practice. Additionally, you should have experience working in an acute healthcare sector in a Senior Registered Nurse post or equivalent, with skills in recruitment and selection, roster management, and mentorship. Advanced life support certification is desirable.
