Athona Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mental Health Nurse to join their team in Manchester.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care and act as a named nurse for a group of patients, assessing, planning, and delivering care in collaboration with the patient and their family.

We are looking for a nurse with active NMC registration, knowledge of NMC standards, and a positive attitude towards service improvement.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £38,716 + £5k welcome bonus, making it an attractive opportunity for experienced nurses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing nursing care and acting as a named nurse for a group of young patients.
  • Assessing, planning, and delivering care in collaboration with the patient and their family.
  • Engaging with service users to assess their needs, monitor progress, and provide therapeutic support.
  • Promoting and participating in quality improvement processes and clinical governance activities.
  • Providing accessible, clear information about care to patients and families.
  • Acting as the Nurse in Charge of the ward, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and effective communication within the team.
  • Supporting the multidisciplinary team in developing and implementing treatment plans.
  • Adhering to relevant codes of practice, national guidelines, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Active NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PIN.
  • Knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices.
  • A positive attitude toward service improvement & commitment to high-quality care.
  • Ability to apply flexible and innovative approaches to nursing practice.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in IT.
