About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at our purpose-built respite service in Staveley. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all care plans are followed to provide the best possible support to our service users.
  • Undertake personal care duties and observation checks to maintain the safety and hygiene of our residents.
  • Participate in activities to keep our residents engaged and entertained during their stay.
  • Ensure the safe use of moving and handling equipment to assist our residents as required.
  • Oversee the health and safety of our service users under your care.
  • Undertake basic cleaning duties, adhering to cleaning rotas and safety procedures.
Working Hours
  • 07:00 to 14:30
  • 14:30 to 22:00
  • 07:00 to 22:00
Pay and Benefits
  • £11.44 per hour for hours worked between 07:00 to 19:00
  • £15.22 per hour for hours worked between 19:00 to 07:00
Requirements
  • 2 years of professional referencing, including 1 from your most recent employer.
  • In-date mandatory training certificates, including Practical moving and handling training.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 4 months or registered on the update service.
  • Minimum of 12 months paid UK work experience working within a care home or nursing home setting.
  • Full, up-to-date CV with a minimum of 5 years of employment history.
