Job Title: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Job Summary:

This role serves to provide quality healthcare and health promotion services to the VSU student body. The ideal candidate will utilize professional nursing assessment skills to serve the health needs of VSU students, focusing on promoting healthy lifestyles through counseling, illness prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality healthcare services to VSU students
  • Utilize professional nursing assessment skills to serve the health needs of VSU students
  • Promote healthy lifestyles through counseling, illness prevention, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Work collaboratively with the VSU community to promote health and wellness

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse or physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Certification as a nurse practitioner
  • Current certification in CPR/BLS
  • Demonstrated experience with college-aged populations
  • Demonstrated experience as a lead clinician in a primary healthcare setting within the past two years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in women's and/or primary healthcare
  • Participation/leadership in professional associations such as the American Nursing Association
