Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Water Network Design Lead to join our team in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical design of innovative and sustainable solutions to address leakage challenges, clean water provision, and sewage disposal across our client's water networks.

Your primary role will involve providing technical guidance and leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility studies to detailed design and construction support. You will also lead the delivery of wastewater and/or potable water pipeline schemes to budget, programme, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have significant technical experience in clean/potable water pipeline design and wastewater network infrastructure design. A good understanding of designers' responsibilities under CDM is essential, as well as strong collaboration and communication skills to engage with colleagues, non-technical staff, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical guidance and leadership throughout the project lifecycle
  • Leading the delivery of wastewater and/or potable water pipeline schemes
  • Developing engineering solutions for landside and underwater pipelines, offshore intake designs, long sea outfalls, and diffuser designs
  • Managing design risk to deliver constructable design solutions
  • Producing and reviewing engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, and reports

Requirements:

  • Chartered or Incorporated Civil engineer
  • Significant technical experience in clean/potable water pipeline design and wastewater network infrastructure design
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Able to travel to other offices and sites, as required

Estimated Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 per annum
