Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior or Principal EICA Engineer to join our team in Cambridge. The successful candidate will report directly to the EICA Integration Lead and provide superior quality Engineering Design services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the design process, produce design documents, and drawings while adhering to health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards.
  2. Rationalize designs to ensure cost-effectiveness, meeting project requirements, and considering construction and commissioning costs.
  3. Maintain competitiveness by utilizing standard practices and providing estimates for the Proposals department.
  4. Develop, monitor, and review procedures to ensure the continued development of the department.
  5. Ensure coordination with all disciplines internal and external to MWHT for effective contract delivery.
  6. Maintain accurate files and records throughout contracts.
  7. Guarantee customer satisfaction as a key objective.
  8. Work within a culture prioritizing customer satisfaction and employee benefits.
  9. Develop a personal growth plan and assist in supervising and developing staff.
  10. Maintain a safe working environment and minimize waste from departmental activities.
  11. Evaluate designs for environmental impact and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with water and sewage treatment principles.
  • Experience in managing/mentoring staff on designing relevant aspects of water and sewage treatment plants.
  • Membership or nearing membership of a professional institution.
  • Able to rationalize designs and create efficient plant layouts.
  • Broad knowledge of water treatment aspects, including mechanical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering, and project management.
  • Ability to assimilate diverse data and present technical proposals confidently.
  • Computer literacy and a valid driving license.

Estimated Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum. Compensation may vary based on experience and qualifications.
