About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead for Occupational Well-being to join our team at Drs Ltd. In this challenging and rewarding position, you will contribute to the development of our Occupational Health and Well-being Service. Your primary responsibilities will include acting as a clinical lead, supporting other clinical staff, and implementing improvements in quality and safety standards.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development of occupational health services, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  2. Collaborate with clients to deliver tailored solutions that meet their needs.
  3. Evaluate worker fitness for specific tasks, recommending necessary adjustments to ensure safe and effective work performance.
  4. Develop and implement health surveillance programmes to monitor workers' health.
  5. Investigate and manage potential occupational injuries and illnesses, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Design and implement immunisation programmes for workplace biological hazards and business travellers.
  7. Promote best practices in workplace health and safety, reducing sick leave and increasing productivity.
  8. Conduct site visits to assess working conditions and provide expert advice.
  9. Case manage workers on sick leave, coordinating with other health professionals to ensure timely returns to work.
Your Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A valid GMC registration.
  • Advanced qualifications in Occupational Medicine or Health, such as Fellowship or Membership of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (F/MFOM).
  • Proven experience in occupational health roles, both in public and private sectors.
  • Exceptional expertise in complex case management and advice on work-related health issues.
  • Demonstrated clinical diagnostic skills and knowledge of treatment practices.
  • Familiarity with HSE and DWP guidance on workplace safety and fitness for work.
  • Ability to conduct health screenings and provide clear recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of relevant employment law in occupational health contexts.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
