About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Law Business Research Limited. As a key member of our Commercial Department, you will be responsible for developing and executing business growth strategies to drive revenue and expand our customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and develop strategic plans to drive revenue growth.
  2. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure they meet their sales targets and achieve their full potential.
  3. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs, and use this information to inform business development strategies.
  4. Proposal Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop proposals and marketing materials that showcase our products and services, and effectively communicate their value to customers.
  5. Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their needs and preferences, and identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell our products and services.
  6. Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key performance metrics, such as sales revenue, customer acquisition costs, and customer satisfaction, to measure the effectiveness of business development strategies and make data-driven decisions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven Business Development Experience: A track record of success in business development, with a strong understanding of sales strategies, tactics, and metrics.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Experience in leading and managing high-performing teams, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing sales professionals.
  • Market Analysis and Research: Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members.
