Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Stewardship Analyst to join our team in London. As a key member of our ESG integration team, you will play a critical role in shaping our strategic stewardship agenda, engagement plan, and proxy vote guidelines. Your expertise will help us drive positive economic and societal change while delivering strong financial performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze shareholder meeting agendas and related materials to ensure timely and accurate voting in accordance with our proxy voting guidelines.
  • Engage with boards and senior executives of investee companies on ESG and proxy voting issues.
  • Monitor progress towards engagement milestones and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with industry partners, such as CA100+, IIGCC, and FAIRR, on engagement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the integration of our stewardship program into our investment decision-making process and enhance collaboration with fundamental research analysts.
  • Refine our proxy voting policy and contribute to the annual review of our engagement and proxy voting policies.
  • Research and write position papers on strategic engagement themes, such as climate, biodiversity, and human capital.
  • Support client requests and develop presentation materials for clients.
  • Stay up-to-date on global regulatory developments and engage with industry bodies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in corporate governance, stewardship, sustainability, ESG, and investment management.
  • Strong understanding of ESG issues and ability to translate complex topics into business-relevant issues.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
