About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pensions Administrator to join our team at Broadstone. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our clients and supporting the management of our pension administration services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and provide high-quality administration services, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Carry out the checking and peer review of work undertaken by the team, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Support the processing of team workloads, ensuring timely completion and adherence to established procedures.
  • Assess and prioritize workloads, managing team workloads to meet agreed service standards and targets.
  • Develop technical competency in self and others, attending internal briefings and supporting the implementation of changes to practice or procedure.
  • Provide on-team training and support to other pensions administrators and trainee administrators.
  • Accurately record own time to support client billing activities.
  • Participate in new business presentations, as required.
  • Adhere to Broadstone staff policies and procedures at all times.

  • Assists in developing team members to their full potential by helping to identify their development and competency needs, supporting training and coaching sessions.

Technical Knowledge and Professional Qualifications

  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
  • Previous experience carrying out a similar role with a third-party administrator or in-house occupational pension scheme.
  • Studying towards or completion of professional qualifications (the PMI's Certificate in Pensions Calculations and/or Advanced Diploma in Retirement Provision).

  • Adhere to all relevant laws & regulations, and Broadstone Policies & Procedures.
  • Achieve a good standard of ethical behaviour, doing the right thing at all times.
  • Comply with all relevant professional standards.
  • Comply with the FCA's requirements in relation to the Senior Managers & Certification Regime, Treating Customers Fairly and the new Consumer Duty.
