SEND Education Support Worker

Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled SEND Education Support Worker to join our team at an Alternative Education Provision in the High Peak area. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting children with Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs (SEMH) and be able to work collaboratively with other professionals to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment.
About the School:
The school provides education for young people aged 7-16 with SEMH, ADHD, Autism or SpLD. All students have an EHCP and are working at lower levels than expected for their age. Class sizes are small, with no more than 10 pupils including TA support. Long-standing and supportive management ensure a collaborative teamwork atmosphere and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children with SEMH, ADHD, Autism or SpLD
- Managing challenging behaviour and emotions
- Working collaboratively with other Teaching Assistants, management, parents and outside agencies
