Development and Learning Skills Officer

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a range of duties in support of the College's learning and skills development activities. The post holder will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering learning and skills development programs for students and staff;
- Providing guidance and support to students and staff on learning and skills development opportunities;
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement learning and skills development strategies;
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of learning and skills development programs;
- Providing administrative support to the learning and skills development team.
The post holder will be required to have a strong understanding of learning and skills development principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The post holder will also be required to have a minimum level 2 qualification in both English and Maths.
The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post holder will be required to undergo safeguarding training during their probationary period.
The post holder will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues across the College to achieve the College's learning and skills development objectives. The post holder will also be required to maintain accurate records and reports, and to contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to learning and skills development.
The post holder will be required to have a strong commitment to the College's values and mission, and to be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The post holder will also be required to be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
The post holder will be required to undergo a Disclosure & Barring Service check, and to provide two satisfactory references. The post holder will also be required to have a minimum of two years' experience in a learning and skills development role.
The post holder will be required to have a strong understanding of the College's policies and procedures, including the College's Safeguarding Policy and the College's Equality and Diversity Policy.
The post holder will be required to work in a smoke-free environment, and to adhere to the College's Smoking Policy.
