Overview

Gallagher Re is a leading provider of reinsurance solutions, and we are seeking an experienced Risk Management Consultant to join our team in London. As a key member of our Property CAT team, you will be responsible for analyzing catastrophic risks and developing solutions to protect our clients.

The Role
  • Lead and/or contribute to renewal modelling projects on local and global accounts
  • Develop and/or deploy service offering to clients, alongside our research teams and external academic partners
  • Quantify the catastrophe risk to Gallagher Re client portfolios using vendor catastrophe models and Gallagher Re proprietary models
  • Engage with clients, reinsurers, brokers & actuaries on topics including model interpretation, portfolio management and bespoke analytical projects
  • Contribute to reporting and analysis of natural disasters to support clients post-event
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Consultant with a strong background in catastrophe risk analysis. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in numerate or hazard-related subjects
  • Proven experience in the (re)insurance market and in catastrophe risk analysis using at least one of the main vendor models RMS and Verisk
  • Working knowledge of (re)insurance business including understanding reinsurance structures and their application
  • Excellent IT skills, including working knowledge of SQL
  • Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range £60,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including:
