We are currently seeking a Catastrophe Risk Analyst to join our London-based team on a full-time basis, reporting to the Group Head of Exposure Management.

The successful candidate will provide analytical support to the Catastrophe Risk Manager, the Group Head of Exposure Management, and underwriting teams to ensure high-quality catastrophe management information for underwriting decisions. This includes input, assessment, and reporting of exposure management information, as well as regular and ad-hoc responses to the Syndicate in London and global international distribution companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and manipulate datasets, using accumulation and catastrophe models to understand and explain potential accumulation risk to the Syndicate.
  • Assess and monitor the full lifecycle of proposed and underwritten exposures from data receipt and input to assessment and reporting.
  • Support the Catastrophe Risk Manager and Group Head of Exposure Management in their roles.
  • Contribute to driving good conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers/policyholders.
  • Understand lines of escalation and the responsibilities of the Product Conduct Risk Strategy Group, Underwriting & Claims Sub Committee, Executive Committee, and Board for Conduct Risk.

Requirements

The role is designed for an entry-level professional with a degree and an interest in natural and man-made catastrophes. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of analytical and communication skills.
