Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Development Chef to join our team at Good Food Studio - Food & Restaurant Consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our pipeline of development work for our clients in the FMCG, restaurants, and casual dining sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects and development plans for client briefs, with innovative ideas, inspirational food, and process efficiencies.
  • Lead strategy, communicate effectively with clients, and manage projects from start to finish, as well as junior team members.
  • Develop and implement new recipes, menu items, and food products that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development managers, content creators, project managers, and our founder, to deliver high-quality results.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market research, and competitor analysis to inform development decisions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in food development, with a strong background in culinary arts and food science.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a professional kitchen environment, with a focus on menu development and food innovation.
  • Managerial experience and ability to manage projects from start to finish, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and insights to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in software and online systems used in the food industry.
